CoachBuk Wrapped

Your fitness biography,
remembered across every chapter.

Wrapped is the continuity layer underneath CoachBuk: a private record of your training seasons, the coaches who supported them, and what changed.

What Wrapped actually does

Chapters hold the seasons

Fitness has seasons. Coming back after burnout, rebuilding after injury, half marathon prep, quiet maintenance. Each is a named chapter. Streak counters reset and shame; chapters hold meaning across a year, a decade, a life.

Private by default

Session logs, reflections, and chapter names are yours. Coaches see only what you choose to share, per item. Wrapped surfaces are private until you publish a frame; raw reflection text is never published, even by you.

Portable across coaches and gyms

Switch coaches, move city, change gyms, pause for a year. Your chapters, goals, and the coaches who supported each one stay with you. The next coach starts with context from your history.

Built from what changed

Wrapped connects each logged session to your rhythm, goal response, and coaching context, so the year reads as progress history rather than a list of completed workouts.

Why keeping a record works

Recording training is one of the best-studied habits in exercise science.

Tracking progress helps people reach goals

Across 138 trials and almost 20,000 people, monitoring progress toward a goal made reaching it more likely. The effect was larger when progress was written down and when it was shared with someone else.

A record works best alongside goals and feedback

In 122 exercise and healthy-eating programmes covering 44,747 people, self-monitoring was the strongest single technique. Programmes that paired it with goal setting and feedback had clearly larger effects.

A break pauses progress; it does not erase it

People who stopped strength training for 10 weeks lost some strength and size, then regained it faster than they first built it. By the end they matched people who had trained without a break.

What gets stored

  • ·Chapters you author — name, start, close, and the reason the chapter ended.
  • ·Session logs you record — private by default, with per-item sharing toggles.
  • ·Goals in motion, completed, paused, abandoned — with the chapter they belonged to.
  • ·Coaches who supported each chapter, and the sessions logged together.
  • ·Returns after pauses — surfaced as the start of the next chapter.

Privacy and honesty rules

  • ·Your reflections and session notes stay private unless you choose to share them.
  • ·Your data stays out of advertising-sale and advertiser-sharing flows.
  • ·Wrapped focuses on chapters, progress, and context.
  • ·Sparse data stays honest; a thin month reads as a thin month.

The “coming back” promise

Most fitness apps treat a pause as failure — missed-day counters, broken streaks, guilt notifications. CoachBuk treats a pause as the natural end of one chapter and the start of the next. When you return, your goals, your coach history, and the meaning of the work you did are still there. The only question is what you would like to name the next chapter.

Wrapped principles are documented in the CoachBuk philosophy and user logic; see also FAQ · Wrapped and Chapters and Privacy.
